Fractal Design Define Mini C Tempered Glass | Review

With almost all available casing in the market has tempered glass on it, Fractal Define also launched their own line up with it. We check out their Define Mini C Tempered Glass Micro ATX casing.

I have previously owned the Window Version of the Define Mini C. It was love at first sight as the Define Mini C, as always, really compliments your Micro ATX build. It can easily fit a 240mm radiator on top mount position and 360mm radiator on front mount. Length of the GPU is also not an entirely issue with the Define Mini C as I also easily fitted a Palit GTX 1080 Gamerock Edition that stands at a towering 5.24 inches with a total length of 11.22 inches.

Almost all features found on the window version of the Define Mini C are found also in the Tempered Glass. One thing I have noticed is the slight increase in the maximum height of CPU cooler supported. From 168mm of the window version, it’s up by 4 notch or 172mm in maximum height allowed. Probably it is the clearance made by the tempered glass compared on the window version of the Define Mini C. Also, the Tempered Glass edition retains the PSU maximum support in terms of depths to 175mm and Graphic cards up to 315mm in length with front fans mounted.

Managing cables in the Define Mini C has always been challenging yet fun to work on. It still features 15 to 35mm of space for cable routing behind the motherboard plate. It also has three stock Velcro strap for that firm grip on your cables.

FINAL THOUGHTS

As a two time user of Fractal Design Define Mini C, I can say, you can’t go wrong with this magnificent case. If you’re all into space saving set up, the Define Mini C has to be in your list and must in one of your top choices. The Tempered Glass Edition is a great add on to this already stellar case. It gives you a full view of your set up without having that ’empty’ feeling. This Micro ATX build wastes no space, the Define Mini C is the perfect solution to satisfy this balance of capacity and efficiency.
