Rounding up the E3 2018 | The Friday Geek

Missed the E3 fun which was held last June 12 to 14? Well, we’re here to round things up from thee minor and major scenes occurred during the Expo. But before the official schedule takes place, a lot of things were announced and unveiled right before the opening tip. So here’s a list we’ve got from Resetera Forumer, Turkoop (Thanks for sharing man!) of what are the things you can expect to happen very soon in the gaming scene.

June 8 happenings:

  • Ubisoft confirmed the next title of its Assassin’s Creed game will be Odyssey.
  • The Walking Dead: The Final Season will be launched on August 14.
  • Another Battle Royale game entitled “Fear The Wolves” were shown.
  • Days Gone has now a release date which will take place on February 22, 2019.
  • Agent 47 is back with Hitman 2. It will be launched on November 13 on PS4/PC/XBO.
  • Rouge agent Rico Rodriguez is set to be back tentatively on December 5, 2018 for Just Cause 4 (Check Steam’s Store Page)

June 9 happenings

  • Battlefield V trailer was shown and confirmed a battle royale mode.
  • Annual FIFA and Madden game announced during EA Play Showcase.
  • Star-Wars got a new game titled “Jedi: Fallen Order”.
  • Highly anticipated Bioware’s Anthem will launch on February 22, 2019 on PS4/XBO/PC.
  • NBA Live 19 will try to attempt in gaining a spot in a Basketball video game.
  • Command and Conquer: Rivals were announced and its coming right at your mobile phone device.

June 10 happenings:

  • Kingdom Hearts III’s release date moved to January 29
  • Halo Infinite unveiled by 343. Coming to Xbox One and PC.
  • Ori and the Will and its breathtaking visuals and great gameplay will be launched in 2019 on PC and Xbox One.
  • Lots of trailers and sample gameplay were showcased:
    • Fallout 76
    • Crackdown 3
    • Metro Exodus Gameplay. Launching on February 22, 2019.
    • Sea of Thieves’ expansion
    • Forza Horizon 4 launching on October 2
    • We Happy Few trailer
    • The Division 2 trailer and gameplay. Beta coming soon. Game will be released on March 15, 2019.
    • Shadow of the Tomb Raider trailer
    • New skateboarding game titled “Session”. Launching on 2019.
    • Black Desert is coming to Xbox One. Beta will come out this coming Fall.
    • Devil May Cry 5 launching on Spring 2019 for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
    • Dying Light 2 unveiled.
    • Battletoads is back.
    • Gears 5! Will release in 2019 on Xbox One and PC.
    • Cyberpunk got a new trailer.
    • New Xbox Gaming system! You can call her Scarlet.

June 11 happenings:

  • Team Sonic Racing – E3 2018 Trailer
  • The first 10 minutes of Zanki Zero: Last Beginning.
  • Metal Wolf Chaos XD announced, Will launch this year on PC/PS4/XBO.
  • My Friend Pedro announced by Devolver Digital, will launch Q1 2019 on Switch and PC.
  • Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise coming west on October 2.
  • Final Fantasy XIV Online x Monster Hunter: World collaboration announced, will launch this summer.
  • Dragon Quest XI – E3 2018 shown and editions announced.
  • Platinum Games announces new IP. Babylon’s Fall. no more info. Will launch in 2019 on PC/PS4.
  • Square Enix announces The Quiet Man; unsure who is developing it. More info in August. Will come to PS4/PC.
  • Square showed another Kingdom Hearts III Trailer (should be the same as Xbox showed).
  • Scum (Open-World Survival Game) is heading this August to Steam as Early Access.
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider – E3 2018 Gameplay.
  • Just Cause 4 – E3 2018 Gameplay. Will launch 4th December on PC/PS4/XBO
  • Beyond Good & Evil 2 gets two new Cinematic-Trailer.
  • Just Dance 2019 announced. Out this Fall. Will launch on all regular platforms.
  • A Rainbox Six: Siege documentary is in development.
  • The Division 2 gets a new Cinematic-Trailer. Also a new Gameplay-Trailer.
    The game will feature raids with 8 players. In the first year, 3 dlc’s will be release – for free.
    There is also an extended Gameplay footage.
  • Trials Rising announced, will launch 29th February 2019 on PC, XBO, PS4 and Nintendo Switch. They also announced a beta for a later date.
  • Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle: Donkey Kong Adventure Releases on June 26.
  • Skull & Bones gets a new Cinematic Trailer and Gameplay-footage.
    Game will launch in 2019 on PC/PS4/XBO.
  • Transference VR gets a new Trailer. Out this fall on VR-Platforms also on non-VR Platforms.
  • Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey officially announced. Will feature dialogues, romances and more. Will release 5th October.
  • Ubisoft shows a new Gameplay Trailer in Starlink: Battle For Atlas. Nintendo Switch-Players will be able to controls Starfox! Game will launch 16th October on PC, XBO, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
  • For Honor gets it’s biggest update. Marching Fire will feature a new fraction and a new PvP-Mode. Will launch 16th October.
  • The Crew 2 gets a new Trailer just right before Launch.
  • Naughty Dog release first Gameplay of The Last of us: Part II. Still no release date.
  • God of War will get a New Game+ Mode. No specific date.
  • Destiny 2: Forsaken gets a new Story Trailer.
  • PS+ members will get Black Ops 3 for free!.
  • Sucker Punch shows Ghost of Tsushima Gameplay. No date.
  • Capcom re-announces Resident Evil 2 Remake. Launches in 25th January 2019 on PC/PS4/XBO.
  • Remedy showed their newest project, named Control. Will come in 2019 on PC/PS4/XBO.
  • Kingdom Hearts 3 introduces Pirates of the Carribean.
  • Rick and Morty creator announces Trover saves the Universe for PS4 and PS VR. Coming in 2019.
  • Death Stranding gets it’s fourth Trailer and shows us new characters. Still no release date.
  • Spider-Man gets a new Gameplay and introduces other villains.
  • Nioh 2 announced by Koei Tecmo. No more details.
  • From Software announces Deracine; a story-driven PS VR-exclusive game.
  • Kojima shares much more info about the development of Death Stranding.

June 12 happenings

  • Coffee Stain Studios shows Satisfactory. Only PC.
  • Narrative-game Neo Cab announced. Only PC so far.
  • Archangel: Hellfire Coming to Oculus Rift and HTC Vive on July 17.
  • Sega announces Valkyria Chronicles, Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza 0 for PC.
  • Bohemia announces Xbox-exclusive game Vigor. Early Access will start this summer.
  • Avalanche Studios shows the destruction of their engine.
  • Rogue-like game Noita receives a new Trailer.
  • Overkill’s The Walking Dead gets a new Trailer and will launch 6th. November on PS4/PC/XBO.
  • New Trailer for Hitman 2.
  • Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot (VR) gets a new Trailer.
  • Catherine Full Body gets a new Trailer. Will launch next year.
  • Yakuza Kiwami 2 – E3 2018 Trailer.
  • Astroneer gets a new Trailer.
  • Valkyria Chronicles 4 – E3 2018 Trailer.
  • Daemon x Machina announced for Switch. Will come next year.
  • Fire Emblem: Three Houses – E3 2018 Trailer. Coming this Spring for Switch.
  • Fortnite is now out on Switch!
  • Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country Announced At E3.
  • Super Mario Party announced for Switch. Coming this October!
  • Killer Queen Black announced for Switch.
  • Hollow Knight lanuches today on Switch.
  • Overcooked 2 announced. Coming this August for Switch, PC, XBO and PS4.
  • The Pokemon Mew will come along if you aquire PokeBall Plus.
  • Nintendo shows Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Has over 60 characters and will launch this December.
  • Dragon Ball FighterZ coming this year to Switch!
  • Gamecube Controller support is coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
  • Solid Snake will be voiced by David Hayter in Super Smash Bros.
  • Destiny 2: Forsaken – Gambit Trailer.
  • 11 minutes footage of Resident Evil 2 Remake.
  • Few more details about Rage 2 about the game, technology and more.
  • Concrete Genie gets new footage.
  • More footage of LEGO DC Villains.
  • Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has some fundementally changes; no classes, no rpg, no progression.
  • Days Gone gets a new E3 Demo.
  • Spider-Man gets a new E3 Demo.
  • Hitman 2 gets more footage.
  • The Last Of Us: Part II gets tons of new info about new mechanics, new tech, two timelines.
  • Code Vein gets new boss-footage.
  • Cyberpunk 2077 gets tons of new info about story, character, world and more!
  • Spyro Reignited Trilogy gets new gameplay.
  • Metro Exodus gets extended demo.
  • Many new info about Ghost of Tsushima about the world, Jin the Protagonist and more.
  • Soul Calibur 6 is coming 19th October. New Trailer.
  • New Blood Interactive is now a Nintendo Switch Publishing Partner.
