Every time when a Call Of Duty game is about to be released, people are more excited in the campaign mode due to its heart-pounding, non-stop action sequence that players will think twice if they’ll be skipping dinner or continue playing until the credits will roll. But, when Treyarch revealed on May that there will be a Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4, alongside with it is an unveiling of a huge announcement and certainly the first time it will ever happen, not just with the Black Ops series, but to the whole Call Of Duty franchise, is not including a single-player story campaign
Instead of campaign, solo mission with narrative element for each of the 10 specialist will take place. Co-Studio Head of Treyarch, Dan Bunting, in one of his interviews, added that the direction is to provide players a back story while understanding the origin, skills and personalities of each of the specialist. It’s more of an introduction of the characters (specialist) to the players on what they can do and provide on the battlefield (no pun intended).
As a long time Call Of Duty player, I must say, this is a surprise. But at the same time, it is also a welcoming experience. A lot of players will surely invest more time playing the multiplayer aspect right after they install the game on their system.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 is set launch worldwide on October 12, 2018. It will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
